Minister of Science and Technology, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu, has said that the Federal Government will continue to be guided by justice, equity and fairplay in the distribution of projects across the country.
Onu disclosed this while commissioning a flood and erosion control work at Alex Ekwuene University Teaching Hospital, Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, at the weekend.
According to him, under the present administration, no part of the country will suffer neglect due to geographical location or political consideration.
With the completion of the project, he explains the danger to lives and properties associated with erosion and persistent flooding would be reduced, stressing that the project was one of the 11 Federal Government’s ecological intervention projects for the third quarter of 2018.
Dr Onu appealed to the Teaching Hospital and the benefiting communities to cherish the project by preventing indiscriminate dumping of refuse in the drainage channels, adding that it is their responsibility to own and maintain the project in order to ensure it sustainability.
