FG Deepens Nigeria–Israel Innovation Partnership, Aligns with Renewed Hope Agenda

The Honourable Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Dr. Kingsley Tochukwu Udeh, SAN, today received the Nigeria’s Ambassador to Isreal as part of efforts to strengthen bilateral collaboration in Innovation, Science and Technology.

The Minister highlighted Nigeria’s priority to expand partnerships in technology development, entrepreneurship, and knowledge exchange, noting that such cooperation is critical to accelerating national development.

He emphasized that these efforts are in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,GCFR which places innovation at the centre of economic growth and diversification.

Dr. Udeh further showcased the Ministry’s flagship initiative, Energize Commercialization Now (ECoN) championed by the First Lady wife of the President, Federal Republic of Nigeria,Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON as a strategic platform for translating research outputs into market-ready products.

The Minister called for stronger collaboration with Israel, particularly in technology transfer, joint research, and private sector-driven innovation, noting that such partnership offers significant opportunities for Nigerian researchers and startups.

Earlier, Nigeria’s Ambassador to Israel, Ambassador Nkechi Ufochukwu, commended the Federal Government’s renewed focus in Science, Technology and Innovation (STI), reaffirming her commitment to advancing capacity building, technology transfer, and private sector partnerships between both countries.
