FMIST Minister Commends DL4ALL Awardees, Celebrates Staff Excellence in National Digital Literacy Programme

PRESS RELEASE The Honourable Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology (FMIST), Dr. Kingsley Udeh, SAN has commended officers of the Ministry who emerged as top performers in the 2025 Digital Literacy for All (DL4ALL) Workforce Programme, describing their achievement as a proud milestone for the Ministry and a testament to its leadership in driving digital transformation across the Federal Civil Service. The commendation follows the successful conclusion of the DL4ALL programme by the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF), in collaboration with the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA). The award ceremony, held at the Obasanjo Hall, OHCSF, Abuja, celebrated 35 officers drawn from seven key Ministries who distinguished themselves as Champions and Highfliers after demonstrating exceptional digital proficiency. Among the national honourees were five outstanding officers from the Federal Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology (FMIST):   •   Okoro Ikechukwu – DL4ALL Champion   •   Nwakwue Nnamdi – DL4ALL Champion   •   Oduola Lateef – DL4ALL Champion   •   Emmanuel Damilola Aiku – Highflier   •   Adekunle Ismaila – Highflier The awardees were presented with laptops by the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation in recognition of their exemplary performance and commitment to digital excellence. Reacting to the recognition, the Honourable Minister applauded the officers for embodying the innovative spirit that defines the Ministry. “I heartily congratulate our distinguished officers who have emerged as DL4ALL Champions and Highfliers. Press Release 10th February, 2026 The Honorable Minister of Federal Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology (FMIST), Dr. Kingsley Udeh, SAN has restated the Federal Government’s commitment to leveraging Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) to drive agro-industrial development and economic transformation, as the Deputy Governor of Benue State,Barr Sam Ode paid him a courtesy visit today at the Ministry’s headquarters in Abuja. Welcoming the delegation, the Minister highlighted the vast opportunities for collaboration between FMIST and Benue State, particularly in the commercialisation of research outputs and the deliberate pursuit of 30 per cent value addition to raw materials. Dr. Udeh noted that as the Food Basket of the Nation, Benue State occupies a strategic position in Nigeria’s drive to move from raw commodity production to value-driven agro-processing, industrialisation and job creation. The Minister stressed that translating research findings into market-ready products remains a core priority of FMIST, adding that STI must be positioned to directly support food security, wealth creation and sustainable development at both national and sub-national levels. The visit provided an opportunity to formally congratulate the Honourable Minister on his recent appointment and to reaffirm the long-standing, strategic partnership between the European Union and the Federal Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology (FMIST), anchored on shared priorities in Innovation, Science, Technology (STI) development, and human capital advancement.
